NICOLAS G. VILLA

Nicolas G. Villa is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson School of Law where he received a scholarship for excellence. Nicolas's dedication to his clients is evidenced by his volunteer work with the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program. While working there, Nicolas helped indigent clients obtain legal permanent residence status by way of the Violence Against

Women Act and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status laws. Nicolas's volunteer work in the community earned him both the Wiley W. Manuel Award for Pro Bono Legal Services and the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program's Award for Distinguished Services. Additionally, Nicolas is a trained mediator. He honed his craft as a mediator through volunteer work in the Chula Vista Superior Court where he facilitated agreements between adverse parties with a high rate of success.

Prior to attending law school, Nicolas attended San Diego State University where he graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies. While a student at San Diego State University, Nicolas was an active member in student government. He was a member of the College of Sciences Student Council, the Vice-President of the Field Biology Club, and a member of both the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and the San Diego State Honors Program.

Nicolas is a proud member of a large, Mexican-American family that was raised in rural Redding, CA. Having grown up in a large family, Nicolas has learned to embrace the ideals of teamwork, loyalty, and integrity. Nicolas currently resides in San Diego, CA. When not working, Nicolas enjoys a wide variety of activities. Whether he is partaking in a cycling tour of California, trekking through the Himalayas, traveling to exotic locations, or playing in various sports leagues, Nicolas loves new experiences and learns from every one of them.
